DESCRIPTION:Starting a new practice should feel welcoming\, not overwhelming.\nOur course has been created for anyone wanting to start – or re-visit – yoga. During our course you will be introduced to basic poses and techniques in a way that feels inspiring and accessible. \nA balanced approach \nIn our four-week courses we teach the fundamentals of a yoga practice – postures\, breathworks\, meditation and relaxation. By the end of the course you will have the confidence to join a regular class\, but also the fundamentals to practice at home. \nStarting a new practice should feel welcoming\, not overwhelming.\nOur course has been created for anyone wanting to start – or re-visit – yoga. During our course you will be introduced to basic poses and techniques in a way that feels inspiring and accessible. \nIn our four-week courses we teach the fundamentals of a yoga practice – postures\, breathworks\, meditation and relaxation. By the end of the course you will have the confidence to join a regular class\, but also the fundamentals to practice at home. \nClass structure \nEvery class will contain elements a rounded yoga practice: \n– Physical postures (known as asana) – working to strengthen and tone the body\, and boost safe mobility.\n– Meditation – yoga is an ancient form of meditation. By including simple\, accessible mindfulness techniques\, often enjoyed lying down\, we invite the mind into a less reactive\, calmer state.\n– Breathwork (known as pranayama) – how we can use simple breath practices to boost mood and re-balance the nervous system\n– Relaxation – in our culture of permanent busyness\, most of us have forgotten how to relax.
